Accepted Resume Formats
There's no one right way to put a resume together—there are many different formats that are considered acceptable in the business world. Which one you use depends on your experience and the type of job you want.

Chronological resumes have traditionally been the most common, but functional resumes are gaining ground—and until you've built a solid body of work experience, a functional resume might be the best solution.

A functional resume is one that lists your qualifications for a job—it emphasizes skills and abilities over actual work experience (though if you've got it, definitely include it!) If you're new to the work world, a functional resume makes the most of what you have to offer.

A technical resume highlights the technical skills of the job seeker, as well as their intelligence and growth in responsibility over time.
