Polytechnic Institute of New York University's Department of Management provides a dynamic technology management education through its flagship Executive Management Master's Programs in Management of Technology (MOT) and Telecommunications and Information Management (TIM). These programs provide critical professional development for managers who want to put their careers in high gear in New York's technology-intensive industries.
As competition becomes more intense and responsibilities grow more demanding in the highly technological business arena, professionals are increasingly seeking alternatives to traditional MBAs. MOT and TIM programs are updated to reflect the impact of new technologies in ever-evolving industries. Rather than grafting a few courses onto a traditional MBA program, Polytechnic's MOT and TIM programs offer a thoroughly innovative, integrated business curriculum.
“It's vital to all of New York City and the tri-state region business that its managers are capable of effectively integrating innovation and technology into strategic decision- making,” stated Professor Mel Horwitch, department head and co-director of the program. “That's essentially what we do in our Executive Master's Program.”
“Polytechnic's Executive Master's Program is neither a traditional MBA nor a conventional commuter program. As an experienced manager looking for an edge, MOT was just the right catalyst for my career,” said Barbara Giammona, a vice president at Morgan Stanley and member of the MOT Class of '04.
