Full- and part-time MBA programs easing admissions requirements

In an effort to help prospective degree candidates inch closer to successful MBA careers, many business schools are making the admissions process more convenient.
Traditionally, students who wish to enroll in an MBA program are required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) as part of the business school admission process. However, many colleges are now choosing to accept Educational Testing Services' (ETS) Graduate Record Examination (GRE) as well, according to U.S. News and World Report.
Since the Stanford Graduate School of Business began accepting the GRE from applicants five years ago, a total of 334 graduate business programs have followed suit.
"At no cost to the schools, it allows them to increase the size and diversity of their applicant pool, David Payne, vice president and COO of college and graduate programs at ETS, told the news source.
Accepting scores from both examinations may enable business schools to "have a large, diverse and talented applicant pool so that they can bring in the classes they want," he added.
According to the ETS website, a total of 3,200 graduate and business schools across the country currently accept the GRE on their applications.
