Schools expand the benefits of an MBA for business professionals

Posted on 8/30/2010
Although many recent graduates of bachelor's programs are choosing to immediately pursue a master's degree, the number of working adults who wish to launch MBA careers is also growing. As a result, many institutions are creating programs that can satisfy the needs of both groups of students.

Florida Tech University Online is one of these schools, as administrators from the school's Nathan M. Bisk College of Business recently announced the availability of an MBA program that is intended to help students choose certain aspects of their curriculum.

Enrollees will have the option to choose specialization courses in a variety of fields, including general management, marketing, information technology management, accounting, finance, healthcare management and internet marketing.

Focused study like this could help degree candidates boost their professional development, as "the fact that students can now build a personalized MBA program makes the degree that much more valuable over the course of one's career," said Robert Niebur, the school's dean.

According to PayScale.com, a research company, individuals who have completed similar programs have the potential to earn upwards of $100,000 per year.ADNFCR-2969-ID-19933330-ADNFCR
