Overview

The Adler School of Professional Psychology is the oldest independent school of psychology in the North America. Our innovative curricula prepare students to work with individuals, families, and communities as socially responsible practitioners prepared to address the social and global challenges of today.

Student Diversity

Students come from all over the world to study in a collaborative atmosphere among accomplished clinical faculty who are leaders in their field. The school attracts both recent college graduates and working professionals, and it offers significant cultural diversity by attracting the best students the world has to offer.

Campus Locations

Overlooking the scenic Chicago River and easily accessible by public transportation, the main campus is located at 17 N Dearborn, in the heart of downtown Chicago. The school is also within walking distance of museums, the Theater District, the Magnificent Mile, and Navy Pier, offering a unique qualify of life. Adler School also has a Canadian campus located in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia.

Training and Community Outreach

Adler School is committed to pursuing social responsibility through service to communities and offers practica at hundreds of sites across the United States and Canada. The School provides APA-accredited internships at its on-site clinic, giving students the opportunity to gain real-world skills by serving a diverse population. All students complete a Community Service Practicum through getting involved in activities such as community organizing, volunteer projects, political initiatives, advocacy, and public policy analysis.

Institute on Social Exclusion

The Adler School’s most recent commitment is the Adler Institute on Social Exclusion (ISE). The purpose of the ISE is to promote social justice through research, public education, and community outreach around the issue of social exclusion. Students enrolled in academic programs at the Adler School will be afforded unique opportunities in their education and training through these institutes.
