Bank Street is committed to providing an outstanding master’s degree program for graduate students through extensive supervised fieldwork, advisement, small class sizes, and active coursework. The programs integrate direct experience with children, teachers, and families with theoretical material and with observation and reflection.

Academic Options

The Graduate School prepares adults for professional work in schools and in other settings where the focus is on teaching, leading, and child advocacy. The college is accredited by the Regents Accreditation of Teacher Education (RATE) and by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Recognition

Both the National Commission on Teaching and America’s Future and the foundations supporting the Teachers for a New Era initiative recently hailed Bank Street’s Graduate School for demonstrating exemplary teacher preparation.
