Meeting the Needs of All MBA Students

The strategic role of the Lamar MBA is to deliver a dynamic integrated management education to a variety of student groups. Our students range from those who are exploring their career goals, through students who want to advance their existing business knowledge, and to students who have a focused career path. These different student needs are met through either the flexible part-time or the full-time Lamar MBA.

The Lamar MBA places a heavy emphasis on an experiential-based approach to problem solving, including the knowledge, skill, and ability to incorporate ethical considerations, leadership, teamwork, and a global perspective into the decision-making process. At Lamar University, we blend our students’ MBA education with passionate teaching, active learning, specialized knowledge, and professional development to enhance their career potential.

Choose Your MBA Path

The Lamar MBA is fully accredited by AACSB International–The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and is a flexible program that can be completed in 16-24 months (36-54 hours) through part-time or full-time study in evening courses. The class sizes are small and scholarships are available. MBA students can earn a concentration in accounting, enterprise resource planning, experiential business and entrepreneurship, financial management, health care administration, international business support, service management and marketing, or thematic general business (where the student chooses their own electives for a custom focus); a thesis option is also available. Students can also complete online studies culminating in an enterprise resource planning certificate.
