Technology Innovation
University of Advancing Technology's Executive Master of Science in Technology Innovation program is an online graduate program designed for professionals working in technology fields who are operating with the knowledge and support of their organization. It is intended for those working professionals who are seeking to ascend to an executive technology position within their organization. Students will leave each class with knowledge they can take back to their organizations, from strategic plans to cutting-edge theories that encompass the legal, ethical, and cultural dimensions affecting technology leaders in an increasingly global world. By the end of the program, students will engage information research and statistical analysis to develop, implement, and present a capstone project that applies to their organizations as well as technology as a discipline.
Program Objectives
- Create and present an applied project in a discipline based on students’ organizational needs and within a current advancing technology field
- Demonstrate through produced analysis a firm grasp of the implications and interactions of technology within societal, legal, ethical, and cultural contexts
- Demonstrate through production of a strategic plan and leadership philosophy an understanding of leading through change in a technology environment
- Produce and evaluate potential future scenarios and systems archetypes that demonstrate foundational application of forecasting and systems thinking in technology
- Demonstrate through presentation and writing the capacity to effectively communicate ideas, present ideas, and "sell" them to a Board of Directors
