Graduate programs at Caldwell College offer students a unique opportunity to broaden their intellectual horizons while deepening their understanding of the principles of a chosen discipline. We offer career-related degrees and programs that prepare students with advanced knowledge and skills appropriate to specific professional goals, all in a context of ethical and social responsibility. The hallmark of a Caldwell College education is small class size, individual attention, and a quality faculty and staff committed to our students. Founded in 1939 by the Sisters of Saint Dominic, Caldwell is one of sixteen Dominican colleges and universities in the United States that participate in the 800-year commitment to quality higher education that typifies the worldwide Dominican Order. Founded in France in the thirteenth century by Dominic Guzman, from their beginning the Dominicans established their presence at the great university centers in Europe in order to study and teach at the crossroads of knowledge. This tradition embraces such diverse names as theologian Thomas Aquinas, artist Fra Angelico, social reformer Catherine of Siena, champion of the indigenous peoples Bartolome de las Casas, and the preacher and writer Henri Lacordaire.
