The goal of Colorado State University-Pueblo's MBA program is to prepare students for high-level general management careers in business and other organizations. To this end, students acquire knowledge of management operations, an appreciation of the interrelationships involved, an understanding of the economic, political and social environment in which businesses function, and behavioral skills that are essential in the manager's role in the implementation of business decisions. The MBA program endeavors to provide an atmosphere conducive to the development of each student's ability to think in a creative and effective manner. The program makes extensive use of lectures, seminars, group projects, case studies and independent research. The program is open to all applicants with a bachelor's degree, regardless of the undergraduate field of study, who can demonstrate, through academic or experiential preparation, an appropriate background in the key areas of accounting, economics, finance, quantitative methods, management, and marketing. Students without this background will be required to complete some leveling requirements.
